Kendra Baskett was serious about reclaiming her famously fab physique. After losing most of the 50 plus pounds she gained while pregnant, the former centerfold, 25 - who recently moved from Indiana to Philadelphia with NFL hubby Hank, 27 and their 8-month-old son Hank IV - Vowed to shed the last stubbor inches? So under the guidance of trainer Nicky Holender the 5-foot-4 reality star (her oponymous show returns on E! in November) tweaked her diet, ramped up workouts and created the ultimate fitness tool: her DVD, Be A Knockout With Kendra. Now , "I've never felt more fit in my life" she gushes to Us. If I lived without mirrors, I would think I was in six-pack shape" she talks to Us! Ingrid Sheaffer.
What's your exercice regimen like?
Now that I'm in Philly, I'm not working with Nicky anymore, so I keep it basic. I do a lot of cardio. That's the No 1 thing for burning fat. I work on toning my arms and legs and do tons of crunches. And I use my own hourlong workout DVD a lot ! It's great because I can do it when baby Hank is napping. But he's part of my exercices too. I take him to the park and I go running with his stroller - pushing him tones my arms!
Any areas you still want to farm?
I still have that little stomach pooch - that takes time to tighten. It's not just fat but extra skin that I need to tone. I'm short, so it's hard to hide anything ! I'm also still working on my arms and thighs. Those place are hard !
Do you feel pressure to lose even more weight?
Sometimes I look at old pictures and I'm like, agh ! I nedd to get that back ! It's motivating but I still only work out three days a week. You can't obsess about it. You have to learn to give your mind and body a break, or it can be unhealthy, like an addiction.
What's the feed-back on your DVD so far?
Fans have been coming up to me saying what a hard workout it is - that makes me really excited ! It's cool because going into winter you want to work out in front of your TV. I definetelety understand not wanting to leave the house.
What's your diet now?
Thanks to the baby, it's healthier ! In the morning, I blend an oatmeal and fruit smoothie for him and make one for myself too. It helps me feel light and refreshed. I have the nutrients I should be having, but I'm not a dieter. I go with what my body is telling me to eat that day. I'll have grilled chicken or vegetables and low-fat ranch dip - I snack on that all the time. The other night though, I had a steak ! But a petit filet, not some huge crazy thing. When Hank's home, we'll cook instead of going out and getting appetizers and all that craps.
Didn't you tweet about cheating?
I know, I know ! That was my first and only Philly cheesesteak. It felt good, though to tell you the truth it's OK to take a day to have comfort food. Every now and I'll go to Taco Bell, but just eat a little bean burrito.
I need to buy small and medium dresses, but I had to return a bunch and get extra small ! It feels good to fit in my clothes. I'm not saying I'm a twig, but I was excited because I was in mediums for so long, I'm still a little self-conscious about my boobs, though. In my Playboy days, boobs were the thing. When I was pregnant, they went from a 34 C to an E. Now after having a baby, they look like pounds that shouldn't be there.I sometimes think I should get them smaller and they'd make my whole baby look smaller, you know?
What's your favorite body part?
My butt is the biggest and the nicest thing on my body right now. I swear, I feel great about it.
What does Hank think of your new shape?
I have to fight to get him off me !
We go to the gym together, I'll look at his body and I'm like, Man ! I'll do his ab exercices with the medicine bell, I get down and throw the ball at him as hard as I can. Those are intense ! He's away at training camp right now, and I've been working out really hard, so I send pictures, I'm excited for him to come back and see my hot bod !
